No EMCON discipline
Tracking tags broadcast position from staging through the LZ. When the team needs to go dark, the option is to throw the tag in a Faraday bag — and lose the audit trail that proves the asset was accounted for the whole time.
No verified chain of custody
TCAIMS, IBS, GATES, and CMOS each hold one slice of the journey. None of them prove the asset that left the depot is the same one that arrived. Disputes over loss, damage, or substitution rely on attestation.

Blockchain custody
Hyperledger Fabric 2.x with multi-org endorsement. Every transfer requires the receiving party to authenticate independently. The government UII is immutable from mint onward.
EMCON-aware tags
Hardware dark mode interrupts power to GPS, cellular, satellite, and BLE radios. Activation lat/lon and timestamp are written to NVM and submitted on reconnect — never inferred from network silence.
Offline-first mobile
Recovery scans, transfer confirmations, and EMCON events queue locally with AES-encrypted storage. EMCON events sync first when connectivity returns.
FORGE integration
Verified asset state pushes to FORGE in real time via a cross-account API. FORGE asset tiles display a blockchain-verification badge whenever TRACE has a confirmed checkpoint.
AFRL DLT bridge
Dedicated bridge channel mirrors TRACE events into AFRL’s Hyperledger network. Bidirectional translation table maps TRACE token IDs to AFRL asset IDs.
UWB indoor positioning
Qorvo DW3000-based anchor nodes deliver centimeter-level position fixes with a near-zero RF signature. Advisory only — never replaces a human-verified checkpoint.

TRACE is read-only against TCAIMS, IBS, GATES, and CMOS by default — enrichment, not duplication. The one write path is a TCAIMS ITV update fired when chaincode confirms a checkpoint, so the canonical theater record sees the same truth the blockchain does.
Theater Automated Command and Control Information System
TRACE pulls UIC, document number, priority designator, and requested delivery date. Verified checkpoints push back as ITV updates.
Integrated Booking System
Transportation Control Number, mode of transport, carrier, and ETA are pulled at sync time so a Class V shipment carries its booking record across the chain.
Global Air Transportation Execution System
For air-transported assets only. Mission number, aircraft type, departure base, and ETA are correlated to the airlift mission via TCN.
